Fame is a tricky thing. Many people desire to be famous, choosing to ignore the bad parts about it. To some people, fame might seem fulfilling, while to other people it seems tiring. The advantages of being famous differ from person to person. Money or being able to influence a big amount of people are indeed advantages if used right. At the same time, you will meet many great people, wich will help you grow as a person. On the other side, fame can bring many inconveniences too. Paparazzi chasing you, people trying to get under your skin, using you for popularity or money, obsessive stalkers and people who go as far as trying to kill you in some cases. People will also know details about your private life, and that might be bothering too.
I think you need to be born for fame, and being famous really depends on how many sacrifices you're willing to make.
