In my opinion, the quote refers to the fact that if everyone in the world spoke the same language, there will no longer be a language barrier between us humans and there will be fewer conflicts. While it's a good a idea in concept , it cannot be applied because of all of the cultural and historic differences between the countries and their languages. For example, some languages have specific words to refer to specific things, while others don't. That can be quite an issue.
Even if everyone spoke the same language, it isn't guaranteed that the number of conflicts and wars in the world would decrease, since it's not language that started these to begin with.
