VA ROG FRUMOS REZUMAT IN ENGLEZA Coroniță !!!! The first Olympic Games took place at Olympia in Ancient Greece in 776 BC. The Greeks were fond of music, drama and all kinds of physical exercise. The were also religious People. The famous Games at Olympia were held in honour of Zeus and always included lots of religious ceremonies as well as sporting event. The Olympic Games took place every leap year and all the cities in Greece sent their Best athletes to Take part in them. The strongest athletes came together to run, jump,wrestle, throw the discus and box.

The Olympic  games were first held in 776 BC.Many countries sent their best athletes to compete. The winners got no medal , but they got an olive wreath.It was a tradition to stop wars for the Olympic Games to take place.But when romans arrived the story changed,No more Olympic Games.Until Pierre de Coubertin revived the Olympic Games in 1896 ,295 athletes from 13 diffrent countries competed.
